The Group reported 2023 global revenues of €18 billion.Let's talk about the roles and responsibilities:As a Build & Support Engineer, you are responsible for network nodes and EMS (Element Management Systems) for our FTTx (Fiber to the X) domain. Able to support installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of network nodes, EMS systems, and other critical network infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Hands-on Network Configuration: Configure, deploy, and support network nodes and EMS systems across FTTx infrastructure.Troubleshooting & Support: Provide on-site and remote support for network elements and resolve any issues related to EMS systems.Integration & Testing: Work closely with teams to integrate and test new network nodes and EMS systems, ensuring smooth deployment.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for network nodes, EMS configurations, and system updates.Collaboration: Collaborate with network engineers, field teams, and vendors to ensure successful deployment and support of network infrastructure.System Optimization: Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to enhance network performance and reliability.Compliance & Security: Ensure all network operations adhere to security protocols and compliance standards.Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience in network engineering with a focus on FTTx infrastructure.Strong knowledge of network nodes, EMS systems, and network management.Hands-on experience with Fiber Optic systems and related technologies.Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, etc.) and related tools.Excellent troubleshooting skills in network-related hardware/software.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Strong communication skills and attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications:Relevant certifications in networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, etc.).Experience with specific FTTx vendors and equipment.Knowledge of optical transport networks (OTN) and PON technologies.Let's talk about what's in it for you!At Capgemini, we help you get the future you want not only in your career but for your life, and your wider community.
