(Not looking for sound/audio engineers) This role will include a wide range of design solutions to support sales and installations of integrated Video Conferencing, Audio Conferencing, Meeting Rooms and Presentation systems, Paging systems, Displays, and Digital Signage.
Your utmost responsibility will be to design and draft documentation that fulfills the user requirements of the customer and sales representative.
Must be able to create technical drawings and cable schedules, as well as be familiar with building design, AV symbols and construction documents.
Also, the applicant should be extremely comfortable with all cabling types, and cable installation practices, as well as rack wiring and device installations from screens, projectors, video walls and custom furniture.Some Responsibilities Include:Design a system for Pre Sale Estimate with estimated labor time and bill of materialsReview scope of work and sales order with Sales and Technical teamsAssist sales with preliminary scope of work, estimated installation hours, estimated programming hours, and equipment listDesign systems and cable schedules according to customer needsPerform Site surveys when necessary on larger scale projectsPreparation of complete AV plans that include but are not limited to: Line Diagrams, Bill of Materials, Scope of Work, and Rack Elevations.
These are for commercial projects of varying sizes, complexity, and budgets.
Plans will use industry-standard notation, show placement of AV equipment, include a wiring diagram, show headend components and specifications and provide GC callouts.
Projects will include the requirement to revise plans throughout the project to reflect changes in design requirements and to prepare as-built drawings.Responsible for staying current on technological developments in the AV field including new hardware and software.
Will also be called upon, from time to time, to become familiar with older and possibly obsolete equipment currently being used in customer premises which may need to be replaced or repaired.Qualifications:3+ years of designing complex AV solutions experience required2+ years of AV products (e.g.
