The Team: North Tasmanian Pathology Services (NTPS) provides Pathology services to Launceston General Hospital and the Northern regions of Tasmania. We are the only public pathology service operating in North Tasmania. NTPS aims to deliver a high-quality service to general practitioners, medical specialists, and private hospitals, providing patients with no out-of-pocket expenses for Medicare eligible tests. The team at NTPS comprises a large team involving multidisciplinary scientists, technicians, and Pathologists. Externally, we share a close working relationship with cross functional teams in LGH and wider Tasmanian Health Network. The Role: Liaise closely with Health ICT and be responsible for supporting all clinical applications and equipment in use at Northern Tasmanian Pathology Service. To provide support and end user training for the Laboratory Information System, Middle ware applications and oversee Pathology IT department. Assist end users using Pathology IT systems on help desk queries, system and architecture maintenance, strategic planning, configuration, testing, technology migration, implementation, integration, monitoring data quality, managing new software upgrades and releases. You will need: At least 2-3 years’ experience working with health care clinical application systems. IT qualification desirable. Good understanding of Pathology workflow processes will be an advantage. Project management experience will be an advantage.
