About us: The Women and Newborn Unit is composed of Maternity and Gynaecology inpatient services, Midwifery Group Practice, Extended Midwifery Services and a Neonatal Nursery. The unit is women and family centred care, reflecting the needs of each woman within a safe and sustainable quality system. Appropriately trained and qualified health professionals provide maternity care to women of Gladstone and the surrounding areas. About the role: The Registered Midwife (RM) supports excellence in both midwifery/nursing care and patient outcomes. The RM is a competent clinician who provides direct midwifery and nursing care with clinical competence and capability, optimising person-centred care and assisting the perinatal journey of women and their families and access to care services. The RM works in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team to provide women and family centred, quality, safe patient care. About you: Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
