As a BDA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for but not limited to Surface Finishing of aircraft and component servicing requirements, provide direction and supervision to subordinate employees as necessary, and undertake Structures Quality Inspection activities in support of Product Support & Maintenance (PS&M), Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) services - Amberley. This includes support for Aircraft and Aircraft Component maintenance activities. Your Day: Completion of assigned tasks in accordance with the appropriate documentation (publications, documents, engineering drawings, etc). Contributes to improvements in the performance of the team by proposing solutions to problems and more effective methods of work. Ensuring all maintenance tasks carried out are IAW the applicable Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and certified in the maintenance documentation. Promoting a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with EH&S policies and procedures. Be available for both A Shift and B Shift, rostering in rotation with other section members. Your Checklist to success: Certificate III in Aeroskills (Surface Finishing) Be able to demonstrate an understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) procedures Hold or be able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance of Negative Vetting 1 Meet the security requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS) Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures Hold a C class driver's license Desirable Criteria: Previous aircraft Surface Finishing experience.
