Before we get into the ins and outs! Yes, there will be fuel and travel incentives on offer to get to and from the Rand office.
The job is all about making sure grain and fertiliser get from A to B efficiently while keeping trucks full and minimising downtime.
It’s a hands-on role that requires a bit of imagination to create smart freight loops, keeping everything running like a well-oiled machine.
You’ll have the freedom to take charge of your role, make decisions, and have a real impact on the business.

Your main focus will be on allocating trucks and planning efficient freight loops.
Empty trucks sitting around? Not on your watch.
When the unexpected happens—bad weather, breakdowns, last-minute changes—you’ll think on your feet and find a solution to keep things moving.
Scheduling truck maintenance is also part of the role, working with the workshop to ensure everything stays road-ready without disrupting operations.
Keeping track of loads, ensuring deliveries are on time and in good condition, and staying on top of compliance and safety standards will also be key.
During harvest, things get busier, so staying calm under pressure will be important.
Logistics experience is essential—you know how to move things efficiently.
A good understanding of trucks and how to navigate using Google Maps is a BIG plus.
The business is moving to a trucking software system and are currently utilising Microsoft Suite, so knowing your way around Excel will be imperative.
Communication skills matter too—you’ll be working closely with drivers and customers, so building strong relationships is a must.
Most importantly, we need someone who’s easygoing, adaptable, and can take feedback without stress.
