About the role:
Experienced and motivated Cleaners are encouraged to join our team at Uniting AgeWell Strathaven, Queenborough Rise or Strathglen
This is a casual opportunity with availability to work at least 2-3 shifts a week working 8am - 3pm
* Ensure that all areas of the residence are kept hygienic and presentable
* Contribute to a comfortable, welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors
* Cleaning in line with all chemical and infection control requirements and accreditation standards
* Ensuring resident privacy and dignity is always maintained
* Identify and report maintenance issues for our residents, ensuring they are escalated in a timely manner
About you:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, you also:
* Demonstrate a high level of kindness and respect for residents’ property and privacy
* Have previous experience cleaning in a large organisation or commercial environment (preferred but not essential)
* Have sound knowledge of OH&S procedures, relevant chemicals and safe work practices (preferred but not essential)
* An understanding of infection control procedures
* Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision as required and as part of a team
* Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
* Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
Essentials for working in Aged Care:
* A current Working With Vulnerable People card
* Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
* Australian working rights
* Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
