About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, energetic and highly motivated professional to work as part of our Digital Services team as a Service Desk Officer on a permanent, full-time basis.
This role is responsible for providing service desk functions supporting Councillors and staff, ensuring they can work with maximum efficiency in our digital environment.
Qualifications and Experience
* Certificate IV in Information Technology or a related field.
* Solid experience in an Information Technology support role.
* Experience providing end user support for enterprise technologies including networking, applications and infrastructure.
* Experience supporting Windows 10 end user environments, audio visual equipment and meeting resources.
* Strong written and verbal communications skills.
* Current class C driver's licence.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* Microsoft Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert qualified.
* Experience with a multi-site enterprise networking environment including switches, routers and wireless technologies.
* ITIL v3 or V4 Foundation certification.
* Sound knowledge of Active Directory, SCCM, Office 365 and Technology One.
* Ability to work within a team environment.
* Availability to work flexible working hours.
Remuneration and Benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.
* Entry level for this position starts at $1,510.58 per week.
* 35-hour working week.
* Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement.
