Job Description:
Mars Petcare in Wodonga is coming into a huge period of growth and excitement, with that comes the rare opportunity to join as a Senior Technician in our Reliability Team.
As the Senior Technician, you will be a self-motivated individual who can work autonomously and as part of a team. You will possess a strong technical knowledge base with an aptitude for computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to be successful in this role.
You will lead a preventative maintenance culture that maintains equipment reliability, delivers productivity, whilst upholding factory safety, quality and sustainability.
You will play a critical role to ensure the reliability of all existing equipment within our Wodonga site operates in the most seamless manner, providing minimal interruptions to services across the site to ensure we provide quality products to our furry friends!
What are we looking for?
* Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Trade) in Fitting or Turning or higher.
* 5+ years' experience in Maintenance, CPG or high-speed manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge in SAP and CMMS.
* Demonstrated leadership and preventative maintenance experiences.
* Cross functional teamwork, with open and honest communication.
* Experience in planning and prioritising.
* Clear understanding of the importance of working with a sense of urgency and remaining calm under high pressure situations.
What will be your key responsibilities?
* Leadership and mentoring to reliability members by drawing on an extensive relevant trade background, team building and influencing abilities, and supporting business objectives.
* Continual assessment and rationalisation of preventative maintenance tasks with input from other sources such as other Senior Technicians, Engineering and Reliability Area Manager.
* Plan and manage all work for assigned areas, using the CMMS including ordering of parts, labour organisation and management of asset spares.
* Support the Continuous Improvement (CI) process, supporting Mars signature processes and the use of new technologies and innovation.
* Responsible for Reliability expenses and finance management including budget control, procurement, vendor and PO management.
* Communicate with all stakeholders regarding equipment condition and report any issues that may affect equipment performance.
