This well-known Federal Government provides strategic direction and national leadership of Australia's education system through early years, school, higher education and research. They are seeking 1 x APS5, 1 x APS6 and 1 x EL1 Evaluation Officer to support the Research Division's evaluation agenda in 2025 and deliver on projects with support from the section.
Your new role
As an Evaluation Officer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of two key implementation evaluations. This includes engaging with stakeholders, collecting data through interviews and focus groups, managing logistics, and analysing data to provide comprehensive reports. Your work will directly influence the success of programs encompassing $6.3 billion in government expenditure.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience in government policy and program evaluation, proficiency in quasi-experimental evaluation methods, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, strong stakeholder engagement and review/report writing skills.
A background in higher education or research is highly beneficial. Tertiary qualifications in evaluation or cognate disciplines with a heavy quantitative focus (such as psychology, data science/analytics, or economics) are highly desirable.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
