The South Metropolitan Health Service of Western Australia has opened Kara Maar, a new purpose-built Multidisciplinary Specialist Community Eating Disorder Service for individuals aged 16+ with an eating disorder. We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join the Kara Maar team in a permanent role. A member of the Multidisciplinary team including Psychiatry, Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics and Lived Experience Peer Workers, the position will receive supervision from a Senior Clinical Psychologist. As part of the team, you will perform a clinical, consultant, education and research psychology service with individuals, couples, families, groups, other professionals, and organisational systems within a multidisciplinary and professional team context. The Kara Maar treatment model is person-centred and inclusive of family and supports, offering an individualised and recovery-focused treatment approach. Consumers have access to both individual and group components. The service model is designed to support integrated care with local primary, secondary and tertiary services, to provide coordinated wrap-around support and seamless transitions between levels of care. We support ongoing specialist training and supervision. Kara Maar is situated in Cockburn with a satellite clinic in Mandurah.
