The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Officer (Infrastructure Advisor/Maintenance Planner) to join our dynamic team in the North Coast Region at our Rockhampton office.
About the Role
As the Infrastructure Advisor/Maintenance Planner, you will:
* Provide expert advice and consultancy services to schools, senior management, and staff on a wide range of facilities planning, investment, and portfolio operations.
* Identify inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions.
* Collaborate with resource management specialists to ensure the effective delivery of services.
* Analyze data to support sound decision-making.
* Work closely with school staff, offering guidance and knowledge to assist with facilities management.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance.
Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills to handle priorities effectively.
Use Microsoft Office and other business systems proficiently to support planning and operations.
About You
This role is best suited for candidates already based in Rockhampton or nearby areas within a comfortable commuting distance, as it is not a FIFO position and is not ideal for relocation.
A strong understanding of building and asset maintenance environments.
Logical reasoning to prioritize tasks and address inefficiencies.
Strong communication skills to engage effectively with school staff and other stakeholders.
A valid C-class Driver's Licence.
A valid Blue Card.
Ability to pass a Criminal History Check.
