The Role:
Work as part of the Launceston General Hospital's Pharmacy Department, providing a safe and effective pharmacy service by undertaking a support role in a range of pharmacy activities.
1. Dispensing of medications.
2. Compound a range of pharmacy products.
3. Check prescriptions for compliance with PBS requirements.
4. Inventory management and drug distribution
5. Work with Clinical Pharmacists by assisting in the management of POMs
6. Ward-based clinical support work.
7. Reception duties

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, full and part time, day worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2024
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant
8. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $69,574 - $75,199 per annum + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
9. Salary range is in accordance with the Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
10. Possess or be actively enrolled in Certificate III or IV in Health Services Assistance (Hospital and Community Health Pharmacy Assistance) from a recognised education institution; or
11. Possess or be actively enrolled in Certificate III or IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support from a recognised educational institution; or
12. An Associated Diploma from a recognised educational institution, or an equivalent qualification, that is relevant to the work of a Pharmacy Technician.
