Office of Industrial Relations (Organisation site)Strategic Communications; Strategy Performance and Communications; Brisbane CityAs the Senior Online Officer in the Strategic Communications and Data directorate, you will provide senior level support to the Principal Online Officer for a team of online delivery staff within the Strategic Communications (SC) unit, including web maintenance and publishing, subscription email services, the provision of web site analytics, and the ability to identify and troubleshoot online technical issues.The role contributes to the development, implementation and evaluation of online awareness and engagement strategies and resources that target OIR and whole of government priorities, including developing promotional campaign web pages, monitoring new and emerging web technologies for potential implementation, developing subscription service lifecycles and preparing web metrics reports.This role is operational and requires strong technical skills in web publication, a sound understanding of web accessibility and user experience standards and principles, ability to work autonomously within an agile team environment and a sound governance framework.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of online awareness and engagement strategies and resources that target OIR and whole of government priorities, including developing promotional campaign web pages, monitoring new and emerging web technologies for potential implementation, developing subscription service lifecycles and preparing web metrics reports.Develop and maintain working relationships with SC team members and other stakeholders to deliver timely digital services for OIR.Assist and mentor other team members.Resolve technical website issues as they occur, escalating when necessary.Take a leading role in developing and implementing policies, processes and systems for efficient management of the department's online presence.Support the Principal Online Officer and Director to raise OIR's profile with industry and external audiences, and lead the delivery of high quality, accurate digital services to support an integrated communication approach that promotes OIRs programs, initiatives and goals.Provide expert and timely advice to the Principal Online Officer and Manager on project progress, metrics, issues that may impact on service delivery and new and emerging communication innovations that may enhance digital stakeholder awareness and engagement.Actively engage in a multi-disciplinary, agile team environment.Ensure work is of a professional, consistent quality, to budget and in accordance with SC standard operating procedures, WC3 accessibility guidelines, Queensland Government consistent user experience standards, and writing and style guides.How You Will Be Assessed:We'll assess your merit for this role by looking at what you've done previously - the knowledge, skills and experience you've built, your potential for development and your personal qualities.Please refer to the position description.Mandatory Requirements / Special Conditions:While there are no mandatory conditions or qualifications for this role, a tertiary qualification in information technology (web programming), marketing or communications discipline is preferred, and relevant professional experience is essential.Your current resume, including contact details for at least one referee who has thorough knowledge of your conduct and performance within the past two years.A statement of claim (up to two pages) that addresses the 'What are we looking for' section above.Enquiries about cultural safety or reasonable adjustments to help you participate in the recruitment and selection process can be directed to the contact person for this role.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
