**Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator Role**
We are seeking a dedicated WHS Coordinator to join the Amazon Australia Team, reporting into the Regional WHS Manager.
This role requires working closely with the WHS team to maintain high standards of safety within our Fulfillment Center.
The ideal candidate will be trained in standard work and tools used within the WHS function and possess strong communication skills, a proactive approach to safety, and the ability to engage professionally with all FC workforce members.
This is an hourly role based on rotating shift patterns, including day and night shifts.
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through daily, weekly, and monthly inspections.
* Facilitate incident investigation process.
* Maintain required paperwork to comply with Amazon and local regulations.
* Enter Safety incident information in internal database in a timely manner.
* Perform safety observations & audits.
* Coach others to complete their safety responsibilities.
* May have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other safety related activities.
* Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion.
Minimum Requirements:
* 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
* Bachelors degree in a Safety related field or a Cert IV in Safety.
