Family Law/General Litigation Solicitor
About the Role:
The successful candidate should be an experienced solicitor ideally having a minimum 3 years post admission experience in family law and/or general litigation, to join our practice. The position is as the primary family lawyer in the firm, taking carriage of your own files, providing advice and representing clients in the areas of property and financial settlements, parenting matters, divorces, and more as required, with the option to incorporate other general civil litigation practice areas. There is likely to be a necessity to travel from time to time to attend Federal Courts, mediation and as otherwise required.
We are seeking a solicitor who has:
Experience and technical proficiency in either family law or general litigation;
Experience in briefing, instructing and dealing with barristers, valuers, accountants, and other related professionals;
Strong advocacy skills;
Strong advisory skills;
Strong drafting skills and procedural knowledge;
Ability to work autonomously and in a team;
Experience in using legal file management software (LEAP) and proficiency using Microsoft Office, Excel, and various online Court platforms.
Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
You should be the holder of a NSW Practising Certificate, or able to obtain a NSW Practising Certificate immediately.
