MGN Civil is seeking a HSE and Site Coordinator who will join our small established team on our Port Hedland Project in Western Australia.
This role plays an important part in MGN Civil's Port Hedland work, ensuring the safety and well-being of personnel, equipment, and the environment on our civil construction sites.
This position has dual focuses: Health Safety and Environment as well as site coordination.
You will be the focal point for proactive safety planning, implementation, and monitoring of MGN Civil HSE Policies, procedures, and processes to assist in preventing incidents and injuries and ensure compliance with relevant legislative Acts, Regulations, and industry standards.
You will:
Assist Project Managers and Supervisors in providing up-to-date induction safety training to site personnel, including new hires, subcontractors, and site visitors, on topics such as personal protective equipment (PPE), equipment operation, and emergency procedures. Report information into the HSE Database for regular site inspections to identify potential safety hazards, unsafe practices, and areas for improvement. Work with the Compliance and Safety Manager, Project Managers, and Supervisors in performing audits to assess compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and contractual requirements. Site Coordination:
You will assist the Project Manager and Supervisor with the coordination of site resources through:
Recording site resource usage (fuel, plant hours, received material) for effective client progress reporting. Assisting with the creation of Purchase Orders to facilitate the procurement of minor day-to-day items. Monitoring and updating site registers. Organizing training and functions. Monitoring roster and coordinating flight bookings with the finance team. Coordinating accommodation and related issues (maintenance, cleaning, short stay accommodation, etc). Role requirements:
Experience with Office 365, particularly Outlook and Excel. Certificate IV or higher in Workplace Health and Safety. #J-18808-Ljbffr
