The Navigator Support Program (NSP) is a specialist program delivering support and therapy services to those recovering from an accident or illness. Mental Health and Wellbeing is at the core of Navigator Health’s work and our dedicated team of health professionals embody a commitment to the wellbeing and care of all of those we support. The role: As a Navigator, your primary role will be supporting people injured in a workplace event or motor vehicle accident via telehealth services. As a friendly voice at the other end of the phone, you will play a crucial part in the persons return to pre accident life. You will have your own case load building relationships, and offering ongoing support and therapy to people while they recover. The key day to day duties include conducting assessments, evaluating support and therapy needs, delivering tailored phone support, conducting therapy sessions and helping people navigate the insurance system by empowering them to own their own recovery. Duties: Telephone / Online based counselling / coaching support Building rapport, trust and relationship with people recovering from injury or illness Administer a series of structured rating scales and actioning referral demands Provide person-centred counselling support, offering empathy and solution focused engagement to empower recovery from accident or illness Requirements: Minimum Bachelor degree level in Allied health background, (counselling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation) Proven experience in counselling (CBT, trauma, SFBT) Must have membership with Australian Counselling Association Level 2 or higher, Member of PACFA, registered with Australian Psychological Society or registered Mental Health Social Worker Excellent telephone manner, proven active listening skills, rapport building Team player who can share experiences as well and learn from others Ability to manage self within workload, schedules and cases, independently Lifeline, Beyond Blue, Health Direct experience an advantage ( Desirable) Knowledge of the compensable injury industry( Desirable) What we offer you: Ongoing supervision, both peer and individual Hybrid work environment Salary packaging benefits up to 4 days additional paid leave per year Regular training to suit the requirements of the role Excellent Employee Referral bonus Career development opportunities To be considered for the role, please include an updated resume and a cover letter.
