EssilorLuxottica, the leading name in the optical retail industry, is seeking a highly motivated Category Manager to reign over the Contact Lenses category for our prestigious OPSM and Laubman & Pank brands in Australia and New Zealand. You will be responsible for delivering and developing category annual plan aligned to our strategic direction, lead and execute go-to market plans, new product launches, campaigns and point of purchase initiatives.
Successful applicants will have proven effectiveness in managing point of purchase drivers through in-depth category, market and commercial understanding, this role offers an opportnity to learn all things optics and will play a pivotal role in delivering ideal product assortments to meet our local customer needs.
Requirements for Success
1. Develop a clearly defined category strategy and own P&L management to drive business growth.
2. Maintain and fostering of strong trading partnerships with our external vendors and internal functions.
3. Leverage internal and external data sources to make insight-led and fact-based recommendations.
4. Ensure compelling and consistent brand communication across all channels.
5. Work collaboratively with the Operations, Sales and Marketing teams to ensure integrated and synergised retail executions.
6. Be the expert for category and consumer insights for the product portfolio.
Skills & Experience
7. Bachelor Degree or equivalent
8. 3 years of product marketing or category management experience (optical experience is advantageous but not compulsory)
9. A self-motivated individual with effective influencing ability and solid stakeholder management.
10. Confident communication with excellent presentation skills
11. A strong knowledge of classic marketing theory, brand and communications framework
12. Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate when appropriate
13. Strong and demonstrated analytical and reporting ability
14. SAP and BI experience are ideal but not mandatory
15. Sound knowledge of the Australian & New Zealand retail environment
