About the role The Afterhours Outreach Program supports people who are sleeping rough or experiencing chronic homelessness in the Townsville area, to move into stable long-term housing. The program is based on a case management model to help clients to make long-term lifestyle changes so they can successfully participate in community life, education, and employment where appropriate. In this role, you will provide mobile, outreach and centre-based case management support to individuals and families experiencing vulnerabilities in Townsville. You will operate from a strength-based and capacity-building framework to ensure the promotion of social inclusion, human rights, participation and consumer choice. (This position is both office and community based).
The Afterhours Outreach roster has shifts that consist of:
6.00am – 2.00pm Monday to Friday
3.00pm - 11.00pm Monday to Friday
6.00am – 12.00pm Saturday and Sunday.
What you will bring Sound casework/case management experience including holistic assessment of client needs and development of case plansDemonstrated ability to work directly with clients at risk of homelessness who have complex needsExperience in working competently with staff and clients from cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds with respect and humilityWell-developed interpersonal and written communication skillsComputer literacy, with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suiteWorking with Children Check (Blue Card)Benefits that act for you, while you act for humanity Financial wellbeing: In addition to your pay, you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your pay. Further information This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Hourly rate from $43.09 + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
