About the role The Internal Communications and Events Advisor works to deliver exceptional events and experiences for DTP employees and portfolio partners. In this exciting role you will coordinate events, write content and speeches, and support the development of audio/visual content to communicate critical messages and promote events. The full position description is available: Internal Communications and Events Advisor Position outcomes and accountabilities Development and delivery of events and event management plans to support the achievement of Departmental objectives and drive preferred organisational culture Delivers written materials for a range of event materials and communications channels to convey key Departmental messages and promote collaboration Effective communicator with the ability to develop and adapt engaging and timely communications across a range of materials, mediums and platforms Innovate and improve events for DTP using appropriate research, evaluation and reporting to continuously improve internal communications channels as informed by best practice Undertake reporting processes to ensure the effectiveness of internal communications channels and events In line with Section 31A of the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic) other duties may be assigned consistent with employment classification, skills, and capabilities Key Selection Criteria This role requires exceptional stakeholder management skills and experience providing strategic advice to senior executives. To be successful you will also need to have hybrid event management experience and experience working with SharePoint intranets. Qualifications and experience Mandatory A tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, public relations, public policy (or equivalent), or extensive working experience in events and/or internal communications.
