Are you an experienced operations leader with a passion for efficiency, safety and continuous improvement? We are looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to oversee all activities at our Highbury facility. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, managing production, ensuring compliance and fostering a positive workplace culture.

As the new Operations Manager, you will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, Lean Manufacturing expertise and possess a proven track record in operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
* Lead day-to-day manufacturing and maintenance operations, ensuring efficiency, quality and safety
* Oversee production schedules, staffing and resource allocations to meet sales targets and customer demand
* Work closely with senior management to implement strategic projects and facility upgrades
* Monitor production targets, inventory and performance metrics
* Provide strong leadership to the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
* Represent the company and its values with customers, vendors and stakeholders
* Conduct daily pre-starts and toolbox meetings
* Develop and implement effective planning systems to streamline operations and enhance productivity
* Cooperate with Human Resources Manager to build a skilled and motivated workforce aligned with organisational goals
* Manage competency training records
* Ensure compliance with Johnsons Work Health & Safety Policies, Procedures and Standards
Skills & Experience
* Strong leadership and team management abilities
* Experience in manufacturing or production management
* A proven ability to drive operational improvement and cost efficiencies
* Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and analytical skills
* Knowledge of safety, quality and compliance standards
* Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* High level of attention to detail
* A positive, encouraging, team-building attitude with the ability to work effectively under pressure
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in operations management or a related field is highly desirable
* Experience in a senior operational leadership position within a manufacturing or related field
* Experience in Agriculture production advantageous
