Woollam is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Site Engineer to join our well-established Rockhampton team & work on a significant community infrastructure project – The Yeppoon Aquatic Centre.
The Role: As Site Engineer, you will be accountable for managing the quality assurance of activities, the project's procurement requirements and organising subcontractors onsite. You will work closely with the site supervisors & project consultants providing engineering and technical support.
Drawing on your demonstrated site and engineering experience, you will provide innovative solutions to complex challenges and strive towards safety, environmental, specification, design and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Develop & implement Inspection & test plans (ITP's) in accordance with project specifications, drawings, Australian Standards & Relevant legislationConduct inspections & verification on all project tasks – excavations, pre & post-pour, services integration, structural steelwork, pre & post-sheet, in ground infrastructure and the likePlan & schedule key material procurement & logistics management alongside the site management staffConduct survey verifications & pick-upsManage the upkeep of the ITP implementation & close-out throughout the lifecycle of the projectInterpret engineering documents and drawingsProvide general technical assistance to supervisory staff.Skills & experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Construction Management or related discipline preferredExperience in QA software and the development, drafting & implementation of ITPsBuild process knowledge across multiple disciplinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPreferably 2+ years' experience on infrastructure projectsPassionate about excellent health, safety, environmental and quality outcomesStrong eye for detail & motivation to expand on build knowledge & construction skillsWhy work with Woollam?
