Your Key Responsibilities
This role involves working on multiple projects, covering electrical engineering investigations, feasibility studies, design, documentation, testing, and commissioning for industrial, utility, and government clients.
1. Undertake electrical engineering investigations, designs, and calculations; prepare comprehensive engineering documentation.
2. Lead small to medium-sized projects as a Project Leader, ensuring timely delivery within budgeted man-hours, project cost budgets, and schedules.
3. Conduct site visits to interact with clients, gather data, inspect construction or manufacturing progress, or perform commissioning tasks.
4. Serve as RPEQ supervisor and sign-off authority in accordance with Qld Legislation.
5. Maintain accurate project records for each project, both paper-based and electronic, adhering to company procedures.
6. Collaborate in the development of detailed proposals, fee estimates, and quotations that meet client expectations while minimizing risk.
7. Promote professional growth by mentoring and training junior engineers.

1. Electrical Engineering Qualification | RPEQ Certification - Essential.
2. Proven expertise in electrical design, including earthing design, and industrial environment experience.
3. Demonstrated project management capabilities.
4. Analytical skills in Power Systems – fault studies, load flows, protection coordination, motor starting transients.
5. Industrial power distribution and reticulation knowledge up to 33kv LV and MV motor control and protection.
6. Design and specification of MCCs, Switchboards, VFDs, Soft Starters.
7. Radio Telemetry Systems knowledge/experience.
8. Process Instrumentation – selection and application of instruments.
9. Strong problem-solving, fault-finding, and troubleshooting skills.
