Full time permanent Payroll Manager. Lead and motivate a small Payroll team. End to end, payroll reporting & analysis. Own the Payroll function. The Company Highly regarded, Manufacturing/Import business based in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne who are an employer of choice. This multinational company has experienced exponential growth over the last 3-5 years due to it’s customised service offering and increasingly diversified product portfolio to its growing customer base. The role Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will lead a small, high performing Payroll team and raise the profile of Payroll within the business. Excitingly, this position has an emphasis not just on hands-on day to day Payroll operations, but in providing autonomy to drive payroll’s strategic direction internally. You will be responsible for end to end payroll (approx.350 people) and addressing any payroll anomalies within the required timeframes. You will provide a high level of service to key internal/external stakeholders and ensure staff are paid in a timely manner. The key duties of the role will involve the following; Duties End to end Payroll Payroll processing (fortnightly and monthly for approx. 350 people) Payroll reporting Payroll reconciliations Journal entries/Payroll accruals Update systems/procedures Supervision of 1x Payroll Officer New hire onboarding Terminations/annual leave calculations and reconciliations Overtime calculations Succession plan with HR to ensure there is necessary payroll coverage EBA Award and interpretation Develop and implement payroll reporting Implement process improvements Identify, develop and implement payroll projects Liaise with key internal stakeholders re payroll queries Advise HR/Management on payroll legislation About you You will be strong numerically, highly driven, analytical and customer service focussed. You will have proven experience in a similar Payroll Leader position leading a small team. You could also be a Snr Payroll Officer looking to take the next step up to being a Payroll Manager to lead a small team and take ownership of the whole function.
