Join Minda's Envirocare Team supporting our Nursery Operations
The Opportunity:
Minda's Envirocare team provides grounds maintenance services across Minda sites and externally, within the wider community. To support our garden nursery operations, we are looking for an experienced Nursery Operations Support Worker to work on a casual basis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Mentor, supervise and direct supported employees working in the nursery.
2. Maintain a well-presented nursery ensuring tunnels and work areas meet quality standards.
3. Undertake plant care and maintenance and prepare plants for sale.
4. Maintain tools and equipment and ensure safe storage of chemicals.
5. Undertake irrigation system maintenance and repairs as required.
6. Complete documentation including progress notes and incidents.
What we are looking for:
1. Significant experience in horticulture, preferably in a nursery environment.
2. A patient and supportive outlook, with ability to coach, mentor, and direct others.
3. Strong time management skills to ensure planning and execution of required works.
4. Understanding of safe handling of chemicals and horticultural equipment.
5. Friendly, approachable and able to build great relationships and a positive team.
6. Experience within the disability or similar sectors.
7. A Certificate III in Horticulture is desirable.
