This practice is known for its patient-focused approach and supportive team environment, and they are looking for a friendly face to welcome patients and manage their reception and administrative duties.
Position Overview:
As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of this thriving practice. You will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and professional experience while supporting the administrative needs of the clinic. Key Responsibilities:
* Greet patients and visitors, providing excellent customer service
* Manage appointment bookings via phone, email, and in-person inquiries
* Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in the practice management system
* Process payments, issue receipts, and manage NDIS and private health insurance claims
* Assist with onboarding new staff
* Support healthcare professionals in maintaining an efficient and organised clinic schedule
* General administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing supplies and compliance
* General assistance to the Business Manager
Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a reception or administration role within Healthcare or Allied Health setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task in a busy environment with multiple clinicians.
* Knowledge of medical billing and health insurance processes is an advantage
* Proficiency with computer systems and practice management software
* Willingness to obtain current Working with Children Check (WWCH) and National Police Check, NDIS screening
