Join us in shaping the future of retail media as we revolutionise the industry and empower retailers and brands to achieve unparalleled success.The Senior Automation Test Engineer, will play a pivotal role in accelerating our release cycles through effective QA automation. In this role, you'll develop and execute automated tests for Zitcha’s web app, enhancing test coverage, improving accuracy, and enabling early bug detection. By driving best practices and continuously refining our testing methodologies, you'll help us achieve multiple reliable releases daily, reducing manual effort and increasing overall efficiency.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automated test suites for functional and regression testing using Playwright or similar tools.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand requirements, investigate issues, and translate them into effective test cases for timely resolution.Identify and prioritise test scenarios, considering risk analysis and business impact, to ensure comprehensive test coverage.Integrate automated test suites with CI pipelines to ensure developers are promptly alerted when new features break existing functionality, enabling faster issue resolutionOptimise automated testing frameworks by continuously incorporating best practices and emerging trends.Collaborate with the development team to promote quality testing practises and ensure early defect detection.Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, driving knowledge sharing and instilling a culture of quality excellence across the team.Selection CriteriaMandatoryProven experience as an Automation Test Engineer, developing and maintaining automated test suites with tools like Playwright, Cypress or similar to ensure the reliability and stability of applications.Ability to lead the test engineering practice by designing maintainable, reusable test steps and frameworks - from high-level actionsYou have automated entire test suites, significantly reducing manual testing time and accelerating release cycles for multiple organisations.Solid understanding of Behaviour Driven Development, software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, with experience in frontend testing frameworks.Have built continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for testing (e.g. GitHub CI).Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to meticulously document and follow test plans.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.Minimum 5 years of hands-on test automation experience.If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!Role Type
