Job Overview
This Project Manager role oversees all aspects of Bid & Project Management for government-funded civil or construction projects within a Major Hazard Facility. Key responsibilities include:
* Managing project scope, cost control, scheduling, and quality assurance to ensure optimal outcomes.
* Ensuring adherence to the Thales Bid Management & Governance framework for transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
* Building strong relationships with corporate and government stakeholders to align on project objectives and deliverables.
* Managing contractors to ensure safety protocols are followed within Major Hazard Facilities.
* Actively promoting compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* Strong project management skills, including experience with subcontractor management and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
* A solid understanding of mechanical and electrical services and associated infrastructure.
* Commitment to safety, ideally with experience in major hazardous facilities.
* Exceptional written communication skills and experience managing internal stakeholders in a matrix organisation.
* Proven ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate sound commercial outcomes.
* Experience in managing government-funded civil or construction projects.
* Ability to meet the requirements for professional membership of Engineers Australia.
