More About the Role at Commonwealth Bank See yourself in our team: This role is responsible for supporting the IB&M business manage its regulatory obligations within appetite and provide advice in relation to IB&M systems, processes and controls to ensure compliance with obligations and management of compliance risk. Your responsibilities: Support the business in ensuring adherence with the Group’s Obligations Management framework including the standard and procedure by developing, implementing and improving our risk approach and control environment across IB&M, its divisions and global locations Monitor the BU’s adherence to regulatory obligations and other regulatory requirements and managing remediation activities required to meet existing global regulatory requirements. Work with Line 2, support IB&M global locations to meet and implement Group requirements. Develop and maintain excellent and constructive working relationships with all relevant CBA Group and IB&M stakeholder groups and functions (Group Privacy, Line 1 Risk, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Line 2 Operational Risk, etc) Assessments & Evaluations: Complete Compliance Self-Assessments for IB&M BUs Support coordination of compliance and regulatory attestations for teams across domestic and global locations. Conduct thematic reviews and compliance incident reporting for IB&M in line with policies and frameworks Review the effectiveness of design and operation of IB&M regulatory controls and make recommendations for changes where appropriate. Regulatory Risk Support: Build and maintain an understanding of the Group’s compliance risk framework and global regulatory requirements and obligations of IB&M Understand BU strategic objectives and assess and manage the impact on obligations and licensing requirements Support the IB&M business with compliance incident management including completion of data breaches assessments Perform regulatory controls owned by NFR&C and design, document, implement and embed business processes, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations. Contribute to remediation activities for IB&M-wide critical and prioritised significant risks in line with non-financial risk appetite; policies and frameworks Skills and Experience: Experience across risk, compliance and banking products preferable Solid understanding of current applicable regulatory requirements relevant to regulated financial institutions in Australia and / or other global locations Pro-active outcome-focused approach and ability to work autonomously. Strong organisational skills and the ability to deliver a program of work alongside diverse BAU activities. Ability to develop constructive working relationships with large and varied stakeholders. Strategic and conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills Knowledge of risk management and/or compliance in a financial services setting preferred.
