About the role:
Gravity Media Australia is looking for a talented Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our dynamic team!
In this role, you’ll play a key part in analyzing and delivering commercial data to help drive the financial and organizational success of our business.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll turn numbers into meaningful insights, helping to shape key decisions. You’ll also work closely with our Managing Director, providing valuable financial analysis and support.
We’re looking for a team player who thrives in a collaborative finance environment and is always ready to lend a hand when needed.
Strong financial acumen, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and engaging way are essential.

What you’ll be responsible for:
1. Collaborate with various key stakeholders and provide direct support to the Managing Director and Finance Director for Australia to prepare, analyze, and summarize financial and operational results.
2. Assist the commercial finance team with the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
3. Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts, upload to consolidation software (OneStream) and monthly forecast reports.
4. Translate complex financial information using Excel into clear and concise presentations for key stakeholders.
5. Ability to manipulate Excel data into meaningful format.
6. Work on ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
7. Some early evening calls may be required from time to time due to our European based Head-Office.
This role is for you if you have:
1. A recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with 1-3 years working experience.
2. Experience in an FP&A environment and have been exposed to budgeting, forecasting modeling, and reporting.
3. Experience with Sage and OneStream accounting software are an advantage but not a requirement.
4. A curious and driven attitude with the ability to work independently.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
6. Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as XLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, Advanced Pivot Tables etc.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the role involves collaboration with senior stakeholders across the business.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
9. A team player who is happy to help out and work in a team environment.
