About the Role
The IT&C Trainee is a fantastic career opportunity to learn on the job, with opportunities for skill development in troubleshooting, system setup, network management, and IT project assistance. You will provide hands-on support across a range of IT&C functions, with a primary focus on delivering first-level technical support, assisting in IT asset management, and contributing to the maintenance and administration of IT systems.. The IT&C Trainee will work under the direct the broader IT&C team, gaining experience in both operational and strategic aspects of IT service delivery.
About You:
Essential
* Year 12 High School Certificate or equivalent
* Current unencumbered NSW Driver’s Licence.
* A foundational understanding of IT systems, including hardware, software, and basic networking concepts. Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and resolve common technical issues.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical staff and work collaboratively with team members.
* Demonstrated ability problem solve, identify root causes, and apply practical solutions.
* Commitment to providing excellent service to internal and external users by addressing their IT concerns promptly and professionally.
* Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and maintain attention to detail when working on multiple tasks or under pressure.
* Capacity to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to shared goals and learning from experienced colleagues.
* Strong enthusiasm for acquiring new technical skills, staying updated with emerging technologies, and adapting to evolving IT practices.
* Awareness of the importance of data security, privacy, and following organisational processes related to IT&C practices.
* Capacity for overnight travel.
Desirable
* Previous exposure to IT support/helpdesk environment or customer service role
* Exposure to common IT systems, hardware, and software, through school work/projects, work experience or personal use
* Strong interest in pursuing a career in IT&C, with demonstrated willing to learn and adapt to new technologies
