The Firestation Busselton is looking for experienced CHEF’s to join our iconic and popular venue situated at 68 Queens Street Busselton.
You will be joining a great team under our Head Chef John, and the successful candidates would become part of a sensational team delivering quality and beautifully presented plating of food.
About us
The Busselton Fire Station was built and opened on the 1st June 1936 as a working Firestation until 1990, where it continued to be part of the social infrastructure for the Busselton Community.
In 2013, the heritage-listed building took another form as a Specialty Bar and Restaurant welcoming local residents and tourists alike to experience quality food, specialty beers, and wines from the region.
The Firestation is known for friendly customer service, great variety in food, local beers, and of course our wines which are sourced from small unique wineries along with the well-known brands.
About the Role
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Efficient breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, ensuring plating is consistent with the standard outlined by our Head Chef.
2. Appropriate demonstration of skills, techniques, and knowledge of the kitchen environment and food preparation.
3. Report directly to Head Chef and assist with any service issues or improvements.
4. Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised working environment.
5. Adhere to and ensure all daily and weekly cleaning tasks are completed.
6. Participate in discussions relating to menu ideas and preparation.
About You
Successful candidates will need:
1. To work effectively as part of our team and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
2. A minimum qualification of Certificate 3, 4, or Diploma in Commercial Cookery.
3. Experience in a commercial kitchen environment is preferred.
4. A personality to be able to work under pressure and remain cool as a cucumber.
