Journey Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Permanent Educator to join our Durack team as an Inclusion Support Specialist in our Kinder room.
Journey Early Learning Durack is our 111 place purpose-built centre, conveniently located on Packard Avenue. Our centre is designed to be warmly and home, inspiring adventure in all children, families, and educators.
We have developed an educational approach that encourages play-based learning in a variety of different activities. Our outdoor setting contains a great bike track, water splash sensory play areas, and a mud kitchen to inspire messy play and exploration. Journey Durack is celebrated for its exciting excursions that immerse children in the broader community creating meaningful connections, offering a chance to learn in a flexible and spontaneous setting.
About the role:
This is a Permanent part-time opportunity across Monday to Friday.
As our new Inclusion Support Specialist, it is your role to foster meaningful relationships with children, families, and the centre community. You will support and guide children’s learning, while playing an active role in developing an inclusive and flexible educational program for the Four to Five-year-old room.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
* A demonstrated commitment to providing a safe, caring, non-judgemental and supportive environment for all children and their families
* Facilitate learning experiences for your designated group of children
* Assisting in the observation and evaluation of children's individual strengths, interests and preferences
* Design and implement activities to be included in children's developmental program.
* Be part of a collaborative teaching and interactive learning environment
About you:
You are a creative and inspired early childhood educator with a passion to lead and develop age-specific programs and daily routines. You will be a collaborative member of the team, working to build strong relationships with educators, children, and families.
Key skills and requirements:
* An ACECQA recognised Certificate III or higher
* Experience leading and developing age-specific programs and routines
* An approved Working with Children Check (OCHRE Card)
* Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid Certificates
