Medical Receptionist for busy General Practice, 5 days per week commitment / 38 hours - full time or casual terms available Medical Receptionist required for The Doctors Mulgrave Road Medical Centre We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join The Doctors Mulgrave Road Medical Centre, available to commit to full time hours, and work collaboratively with our professional and friendly Team. Assisting us in providing exceptional customer service to all our patients, health professionals as well as administrative support. Previous medical receptionist experience is advantageous; however, candidates with a background in Reception, customer service, hospitality or administration are encouraged to apply as on the job training is provided to the right candidate. Some flexibility is required to cover rotating rosters with early shifts starting at 7.30am and late shifts finishing at 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week. Can offer either full time or casual terms, however hours are full time. Duties include, but not limited to: Answer phones and professional correspondence Meet/greet clientele in a friendly manner Book appointments on health-based software, assist patients with enquiries and kiosk check in Handle patient enquiries, delays and rescheduling, over the phone and in person, including challenging situations Health record management - export / import reports and other correspondence Liaise with Allied Health and other service providers ie: specialists and aged care, to assist with patient care management Understand requirements of and liaise with Third Party stakeholders Provide admin support and assistance to our healthcare professionals Treatment room assistance to help nurses at times (i.e. sterilising, cleaning, stocking) General cleaning and upkeep of practice areas, bathroom checks etc and adhering to strict infection control guidelines, stocking of supplies The successful candidate will have: Australian citizenship or permanent residency Current full QLD Driver's Licence Intermediate computer skills and knowledge Exceptional customer service skills, polite manner, empathetic nature Ability to work in a fast paced Team environment Ability to remain calm under pressure, have a positive and enthusiastic disposition Outstanding organisational and time management skills, ability to multi-task Ability to show empathy towards others and a general desire to assist patients, co-workers and professionals A commitment to on-the-job training, ongoing learning and professional development Attention to detail and take pride in their written and verbal communication skills Willingness to take direction, follow procedures and work collaboratively as part of a Team To apply please send your CV with cover letter by email Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted Applicants can record a video cover letter when applying for this job
