Program Manager, Global Logistics
We are seeking a Program Manager to effectively manage the creation and enhancement of our supply chain and transportation networks. In this role, you will scope large projects, track project timelines, and develop mechanisms for communicating status, risk, and business challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead carrier procurement and contract negotiations for ocean, air, and ground transportation across APAC region
* Develop and execute carrier strategy to support business growth and operational excellence
* Monitor and analyze carrier performance metrics, including cost, transit time, and service levels
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives with carriers to enhance network efficiency
* Manage quarterly/annual RFQ processes and strategic bid events
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key carriers and internal stakeholders
* Manage invoice payment and cost control
* Lead data-driven analysis to identify cost savings opportunities and service improvements
* Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions
* Collaborate with global teams to align regional and global carrier strategies
* Provide regular reporting on carrier performance and market conditions
A Day in the Life:
* Leadership and Strategy: Lead business and planning reviews with senior leaders, ensuring alignment and execution of strategic initiatives. Develop and implement strategies to enhance supply chain performance and support business growth.
* Operational Excellence: Create a robust and cost-efficient supply chain, ensuring reliable delivery processes. Drive execution discipline in operations across various stakeholders, including Global Logistics, APAC Operations, Retail, Procurement, Finance, Compliance, and Legal.
* Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize a strong analytical background to make data-driven decisions. Analyze data and metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
* Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders across different programs. Lead through influence, demonstrating the ability to think broadly and strategically about supply chain initiatives and build consensus among senior leaders.
* Collaboration and Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements. Ensure seamless execution of operational strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Japan & Emerging Country (JP&EC) team manages import operations across seven countries: Japan (JP), Brazil (BR), Australia (AU), Singapore (SG), United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia (KSA), and South Africa (ZA), through comprehensive cross-border Business-to-Business programs.
We are seeking a Program Manager in Sydney, Australia to join our GL JP&EC team. This individual will be instrumental in refining the cost, speed, and quality of multiple sourced programs and managing Destination Operations in Japan. They will collaborate with Amazon stakeholders and third-party logistics (3PL) partners in and destination countries to develop capabilities, manage projects, and formulate and execute operational strategies.
