Position Description
An experienced Communications and Training Support Officer is required to work within the Chief Information Officer (CIO) Command. The services, delivered in collaboration with and under the supervision of nominated personnel, include, but are not limited to, the following responsibilities:
* Support and assist the Organisational Change and Communication Manager in developing, maintaining, and delivering communication plans and stakeholder-focused engagement collateral.
* Develop, maintain, and deliver communication and training artefacts in various formats, including news articles, intranet pages, presentations, user guides, face-to-face classroom training, online modules, and recordings.
* Work with a diverse range of stakeholders to plan, coordinate, facilitate, and deliver training and stakeholder communications to support systems implementation.
* Contribute to the planning and implementation of communication plans relevant to different project stages.
* Work effectively in a small team environment.
* Remain accountable for the accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements, sharing expertise with others.
* Record and maintain files/information in accordance with relevant requirements.
As part of the services, the personnel must meet the following requirements:
* Demonstrated well-developed communication and training planning and delivery skills.
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
* Proven experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and effective computer/online literacy.
* Ability to work effectively in a small team environment and within a wider Command environment.
Security
This role requires a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one. All candidates submitted must be Australian Citizens and have been met and qualified by the Client.
To assist in the timely completion of the Security Clearance process, applicants must have a 10-year ‘checkable’ background as per the Protective Security Policy Framework. An accumulative 1-year period outside of Australia during the checking period (10 years) is deemed ‘uncheckable.’ The applicant is required to supply appropriate documentation and referee coverage from trusted sources to verify their whereabouts and activities during this time. If the clearance subject is unable to satisfy the requirements for a checkable background, they will be deemed ineligible to apply for a security clearance.
Candidates should be aware that the security clearance process can take some time to complete.
Mandatory Drug Testing
Specified personnel will be required to undertake a test for illicit drugs in accordance with the relevant Illicit Drug Free Work Force Policy.
Vaccination
Appointees must be vaccinated with two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in order to perform duties.
