Human Resources Officer - Education and Care
Salary: £31,547.33 per annum (Full Time)
40 Hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Location: Ruskin Mill College, Nailsworth (with occasional travel across Trust sites)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Officer to join the Trust, based at Ruskin Mill, Nailsworth, working as part of the existing Human Resources team. The role involves providing HR advice and support, recruitment, vetting, absence management, communicating payroll changes, and addressing employee relations matters. With the Trust rapidly growing in size, this is an exciting time to join us and become part of our team.
The successful applicant will have:
* Strong HR administration experience.
* CIPD level 3 qualification is desirable but not a requirement; we prioritize direct experience.
* Knowledge of educational and/or care recruitment and pre-employment checks is advantageous.
The Human Resources Officer we are looking for would:
* Understand the importance of safer recruitment, with a rigorous approach to vetting and compliance, and be self-motivated in the pursuit of compliance.
* Have effective knowledge of employment legislation, contracts of employment, terms and conditions, policies and procedures, and HR best practices, ensuring managers are empowered to lead on employee relations processes while staying compliant with policy and legal frameworks.
* Have experience advising and providing support with HR casework and pre-employment vetting checks.
* Appreciate the need to multi-task and take responsibility for all aspects, whether having challenging conversations or ensuring accurate documentation.
* Take satisfaction in completing processes and maintaining accurate data on HR systems.
