Excellent Remuneration: $90k - $100k + 11.5% super + salary packaging + 5 weeks annual leave
Reports To: Central Australian Operations Manager
Hours: Normal business hours, with flexibility for additional hours as needed
Travel: Occasional travel to other Saltbush service locations

Our mission is to uplift and empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, through meaningful employment and community-driven programs.Primary Purpose of the Role: As a Trainer you will be responsible for development and delivery of workshops and activities to facilitate skills, confidence, and knowledge learning of Foundation to Future participants and other Employment Services programs where required; responding to individual needs and barriers to achieve personal outcomes for each person. Working with other team members you will be organising and delivering curated activities for structured learning outcomes on-site and off-site, on job and off job with groups of up to 20 Aboriginal job seekers or in smaller groups as appropriate. Skills and knowledge development will be focussed on employability capacity, and some targeted industry learning to assist individuals navigate and secure sustainable employment. Key Duties and Responsibilities:To ensure success in your role as a Trainer, you will:
Build and maintain a program of workshops and activities that facilitate learning to build employability skills and knowledge for Aboriginal job seekers; scaffolding learning from individual confidence through to meeting employer expectations.
Provide a learning environment that ensures active engagement of diverse learners towards self-discovery and skills development.
Provide practical learner support to those with learning needs to achieve intended outcomes.
Maintain records of attendance, participation, and achievements to support data monitoring and program evaluation.
Work with the ES team sharing accountability for program outcomes and impacts over time for individuals.
Provide support to mentors to build their capacity and confidence in facilitating skills and learning for groups and individuals.
Arrange logistics of workshops and activities to ensure suitable spaces, tools, materials and catering are available as needed and sufficient for all participants.
Collaborate with Industry Engagement Officer for external stakeholders to be involved in workshops and activities relevant to learning goals.
Collaborate with Mentors to understand how learning activities contribute to individual participant plans and goals.
Work with Industry Engagement Officer in delivery of employer focussed workshops to create culturally safe working environments for program participants through internal capacity building.
Collaborate with broader Saltbush team to utilise shared internal services; finance, recruitment, IT, marketing, risk and quality management.
Assist with the updating of participant registers, files, and documents for internal and external use.
Essential Selection Criteria:
Prior experience in the development and delivery of workshops focussed on transfer of soft skills and employability skills through structured but flexible learning activities.
Understanding of Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) & Digital Literacy Skills Framework (DLSF)to inform learning activities and outcomes.
Understanding of vocational competencies to inform workshop and learning outcomes for future evidence where needed.
Demonstrated experience in engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and an understanding of cultural protocols to support effective service delivery.
Confidence in verbal and written communication and presentation skills to achieve learner engagement and participation.
Capacity to develop learner materials, session plans and facilitation guides for all activities to ensure sustainability of program delivery – including digital and paper-based resources.
Advanced skills for Microsoft Office software, with capacity to learn and use other programs required for data capture and use of digital document and file management with SharePoint.
Ability to prioritise and meet timelines, with capacity to work effectively either independently or within a team as needed.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and understanding of risk management practice and processes for a culturally appropriate delivery of services.

Experience working within employment services, preferably engaging directly with Aboriginal job seekers.
