About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Designer to support the configuration and ongoing support of ICT solutions. In this role, you will assist in the design and optimization of enterprise-wide deployment of technology solutions. You will work collaboratively with senior staff and various stakeholders to deliver effective and functional ICT solutions, while exercising independent judgment and decision-making within defined parameters.
As a Solution Designer, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful implementation of complex ICT systems and applications, from initial analysis to testing and deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirements, creating solution specifications for projects.
* Conduct technical and application assessments, considering feasibility, effort, and risk.
* Support the creation of conceptual and logical business solution designs (e.g., blueprints, design documents) and assist with the implementation of these solutions.
* Undertake quality management tasks, including peer and quality reviews of specifications and design documents.
* Participate in project reviews and assist in developing action plans.
* Support the configuration and development of ICT applications to meet business requirements.
* Conduct testing and assist in deploying technology solutions.
* Monitor the performance of business solutions and provide ongoing support.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the effective and timely implementation of projects.
* Prepare technical and corporate documentation for review by senior staff.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices, improvements in processes, and procedures.
* Allocate tasks to team members based on issue complexity and staff capability, ensuring efficient workload distribution.
* Adhere to delivery and support methodologies, suggesting ideas for improvement.
* Assist with cost analysis activities as required and escalate issues when necessary.
* Exercise delegations in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
Key Requirements:
Mandatory Criteria:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as a system analyst or technical business analyst on complex ICT system builds.
Preferred/Weighted Criteria:
* Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional technology solutions for development, testing, and implementation.
* Strong technical analytical skillset with the ability to contribute to the implementation of system solutions.
* Solid working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), development processes, and agile methodologies.
* Understanding of ICT product offerings and their interoperability with other system components.
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely implementation of projects.
Key Skills/Systems/Tools:
* Proficiency with solution design and system analysis methodologies.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Familiarity with development tools and system integration.
