Reporting to the HR Connect Manager, the Senior HR Business Partner Operations is an integral part of the HR Connect team at FSH. This role will be leading the HR function to ensure effective strategic and operational HR Services are provided to clinical and non-clinical WA Health executive managers, senior managers and stakeholders, to achieve the vision under the SMHS strategy. This dynamic role will undertake activities such as:
Leadership:
* Lead and build a customer centric and high performing HR team
* Ensure the team provide a positive, pro-active approach to projects and delivery throughout operational demands
* Retain and train a team that is competent to provide advice, taking into account the complexities and multiple policies and procedures within the health environment
HR Business Partnering:
* Readily builds credibility and is an influential partner that enables senior leaders and South Metropolitan Health Services (SMHS) stakeholders to deliver contemporary and pragmatic Human Resources leadership.
* Provides a consultancy service, whereby customer needs are identified, works collaboratively to determine the appropriate solution and builds capability within senior and line managers.
* Provides coaching and mentoring activities for senior managers and stakeholders to develop people management expertise
Technical HR delivery:
Delivers a contemporary and high-level Human Resources service and advice across the employee life cycle including:
* Performance management
* Talent management
* Informal grievance resolution support and advice
* Change management within a Public Sector framework
* Award and policy interpretation and application

In this dynamic role you will partner with senior leaders and the executive teams and support the HR Business Partners and HR Consultants to champion people management and deliver on expert business focussed HR strategy and solutions, both directly and via the HRBP team, as part of an integrated Human Resources service to Fiona Stanley Hospital.
You are a highly engaged and proactive HR leader with strong customer focus and communication skills and the ability to build relationships. Your attention to detail enables excellence, your pragmatism and research skills allows you to navigate ambiguity, and your integrity enables you to meet deadlines while balancing competing priorities effectively.
As a key member of the HR Connect team, you will be responsible for providing coaching and support to the team and facilitate strong stakeholder relationships with executive and senior leaders. You are a self-starter, a true team player, willing to learn and you thrive in a collaborative, high paced, high-volume environment.

Your ideal skills and experience
* Degree in business and/or Human Resources or relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalence in a combination of formal education and professional experience.
* Demonstrated extensive experience in Human Resources business partnering and leadership
* Human Resources experience in a public health service environment is desirable.
* Demonstrated high level proficiency in general Human Resources practice and processes, including performance management, grievance resolution, award and policy interpretation and application, change management and policy advice and Human Resources administration
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to provide coaching and guidance to senior stakeholders and internal team members.
