UGLRL is proud to be entrusted with the operations and maintenance of this important piece of rail infrastructure.Job PurposeThe role of Claims Manager on UGL Regional Linx is a critical success factor in protecting UGL Regional Linx’s commercial interests under the O&M Deed with TfNSW. Reporting to the Legal and Commercial Manager, you will be primarily responsible for providing commercial and contractual expertise for assisting with the administration of the contract, all commercial governance and reporting. The Claims Manager may be required to manage a number of staff as part of the Commercial team structure as determined by the Legal and Commercial Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesWork with the Commercial team members to articulate and document technical, operational and commercial solutions to mitigate or manage the risks or issues arising out of the head contract.Analyse, negotiate and settle upstream commercial positions to achieve strong commercial positions which safeguard UGL’s interests.Prepare and manage the submission of claims upstream.Prepare and manage complex client correspondence.Develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.Administer the contract to ensure that all activities, responsibilities and obligations of the contract are met in a timely, accurate, effective and compliant manner.Maintain complete contractual records, correspondence, proposed changes to contracts, warranties, delays, extensions of time and other contract management functions as directed.Advise projects, planning, procurement and production departments of contractual rights and obligations in a clear, concise and understandable manner.Assist in the design, execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls standard reports, templates, and tracking tools which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded, warranties are effectively managed, financial information is reliable and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.QualificationsDegree qualified in either Engineering, Law or Construction Management is preferred but not essential.Ability to achieve outcomes in an environment of managing complex stakeholder relationships, including key business partners.Experience in a contract management role within a projects environment, including negotiation of contracts, contract management and dispute resolution.About UsUGL is well-known and respected for providing end-to-end engineering, construction, and maintenance services within rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence markets.
