About the role
* Check-in and check-out guests efficiently, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
Address and resolve guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional manner. Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions. Perform end-of-day procedures, including the reconciliation of all revenue and expenses. Audit and balance daily financial transactions, including cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods. Prepare and distribute daily financial reports to management. Ensure the safety and security of the hotel and its guests by monitoring security systems, performing regular site inspections, and responding to emergencies. Complete nightly housekeeping duties, including maintaining the cleanliness of the front desk and lobby area. Assist with any late-night guest needs, late check ins, wake-up calls, or special requests. Maintain accurate records of guest accounts, room charges, and payment methods. Assist with the preparation of the next day’s reservations and guest arrival list. Communicate any guest issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate departments.

Skills & experience
* A passion for hospitality industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Previous experience in hotel front desk operations, accounting, or a similar role is preferred. Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, handle stressful situations calmly, and multitask effectively. Must be available to work overnight shifts, including weekends and some public holidays. Must hold current RSA and Approved Manager red card or be willing to obtain.
