Helensvale Plaza Medical Centre is a small yet very busy practice that is committed to providing our patients with the highest standard of care in a close-knit team environment. The Medical Receptionist will provide quality customer service, effective and efficient administration support and you will play an integral role in our overall patient engagement and attendance. You will be working in a professional environment assisting our patients with a range of complex health-related issues.
Position Duties
1. Booking and confirming patient appointments
2. Providing efficient and courteous customer service
3. Providing administrative support to the clinical team
4. As this is a key front-line role, you must be well presented, welcoming and professional.
5. Experience in an administrative role within the healthcare industry is essential.
6. Management of third-party invoicing and records requests
7. Management of Medicare and DVA claims
8. Management of the recall system
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
10. Demonstrated computer literacy including proficient keyboard and data entry skills
11. Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
12. Considerable tact and diplomacy and ability to maintain confidentiality
13. Proven ability to display professional courteous manner when dealing with patients, staff and the general public
14. Ability to work independently and to demonstrate initiative
