We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painting Foreman to manage and oversee painting projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting and coatings, with a proven ability to lead teams and ensure project success. Responsibilities include planning, executing, and supervising painting projects, maintaining quality control, coordinating with project managers and clients, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
What's Involved
Plan and schedule projects for timely completion. Inspect surfaces to assess required work. Provide quotes and schedule details for projects. Ensure all work follows safety regulations and company policies. Maintain records of work, materials, and project progress. Communicate with internal customers for updates and requirements. Order and manage painting supplies and equipment. Train and mentor apprentice painters. Conduct quality control inspections to meet standards. Resolve project issues and collaborate with other trades. Prepare and submit project progress reports. Maintain and store tools and equipment properly. Manage budgets and control project costs. Enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents. Provide hands-on support to painting crews. Coordinate material delivery with suppliers. Attend meetings and provide input on project execution. You'll need
Essential
Proven experience as a Painting Foreman or similar role with Level 2 NACE certification. Extensive knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment, along with experience in safety regulations. Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. Ability to read blueprints, manage deadlines, and solve problems under pressure. Relevant certifications: high-risk licence, forklift, cherry picker, Working at Heights, Confined Space, and Gas Test Atmosphere. Good physical condition, attention to detail, and ability to maintain quality standards. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and basic computer skills for project management. Flexibility for evening, weekend, and overtime work when needed. Desirable
