About the role
An exciting national sales opportunity has arisen for a seasoned professional to drive the growth of specialised excavation and pipeline construction equipment. This role focuses on serving critical industries such as pipeline construction, large-scale directional drilling, and surface mining nationally.
You will be instrumental in building and maintaining strong client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
This position requires a dynamic individual who can operate autonomously and effectively present to key stakeholders. You will be responsible for promoting a range of high-quality equipment and breaking into untapped markets. Expect a high degree of travel, especially initially, to foster client connections and drive sales.
This is a hybrid role, so you could be based anywhere on the East coast of Australia, provided you are close to a major airport.
Role responsibilities: Drive sales of specialised excavation and pipeline construction equipmentCultivate and manage relationships with key clientsIdentify and penetrate new markets within related industriesPrepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentationsProvide expert advice and support to clients on product applicationsMaintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactionsCoordinate equipment demonstrations and customer handoversRequired skills: Proven experience in sales within the mining or pipeline construction industriesStrong interpersonal and presentation skillsAbility to work independently and manage a national sales territoryExcellent negotiation and closing skillsKnowledge of heavy machinery and related technologiesAbility to travel frequentlyStrong customer service focus Previous exposure to heavy construction or specialist excavation and pipeline machinery in a retail or wholesale environment is highly advantageous for this role. Candidates with experience involving brands such as Herrenknecht, Tesmec, Trencor, Caterpillar, Komatsu, or Liebherr are strongly encouraged to apply. Familiarity with equipment used in large-scale pipeline, mining, or civil construction projects is essential.
This role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $130,000 to $150,000 (negotiable) plus superannuation, with an attractive uncapped commission structure. On target, you should easily be earning in excess of $300,000 OTE.
A company vehicle or vehicle allowance, along with a phone and laptop, are also provided.
