Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have direct experience in procurement and estimation within the residential construction industry.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Lead supplier and subcontractor negotiations, including pricing, agreements, and defining construction methodology and scope of works.
* Manage standard inclusion lists and standard upgrades for colours and product selections in collaboration with Sales/Admin teams.
* Develop and maintain supplier and subcontractor profiles, including capacities, capabilities, and allocation for efficient project planning.
* Establish and implement corporate procurement strategies, including supplier agreements, terms, and conditions.
* Manage the library of Bills of Quantity (BOQ) for each design ensuring they are up to date and accurate.
* Manage the scopes of work for each trade and supplier and ensure they are constantly updated.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience in procurement and estimation within the residential construction industry is essential, working for a home builder directly.
* Demonstrated ability to negotiate and establish favourable supplier and subcontractor agreements.
* Strong knowledge of construction materials, pricing, and market trends.
* Proven track record in cost management, budgeting, and delivering projects within set financial targets.
* Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyse data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make informed decisions.
* Excellent understanding of procurement strategies, contract management, and compliance with relevant regulations.
* Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively lead and mentor a team of estimators and procurement professionals.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and subcontractors.
