Jasper Farms is one of Australia's leading growers of avocados, currently operating three avocado orchards within close proximity of Busselton. An exciting opportunity has become available for a HSE Advisor, on a full-time basis, to join our experienced team. This role would ideally suit a practical "hands-on" person with a genuine affinity for safety, someone who is proactive, results-driven, motivated, and keen to develop their career. About the role This role is fundamental to the sustained success of Jasper Farms and will focus on the management of compliance and administrative support for all Health, Safety, Wellness, and Environmental programs across Jasper Farms. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Investigate WHS near misses, hazards, and incidents, with outcomes of investigations produced in a timely and professional manner with appropriate corrective actions. Manage and maintain the WHS management system (Myosh) and ensure adherence to the document control system. Assist in the development, implementation, and improvement of Health and Wellness programs to support our employees. Support the preparation of quarterly and monthly reports aligned to the business and corporate requirements. Coordinate scheduled internal site inspections and safety meetings (toolboxes, WHS committee, etc.) across the three orchards. Develop, implement, and review Health, Safety, and Wellness Procedures, including SOP and inductions through consultation and assistance from the responsible manager. Coordinate safety training and routine safety testing and tagging, as required, and ensure accurate records in these areas are maintained. Act as the initial point of contact for the Jasper Farms team regarding Health, Safety, Wellbeing & Environment. Manage end-to-end processes, with the support of the Jasper Farms management team, for all work-related and non-work-related ill and injured workers. About you The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. You will be passionate about what you do and possess the following skills and experience: Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent. Experience working with ISO 9001/14001 and AS/NZS 4801 standards. Excellent organizational skills. You will be able to complete multiple concurrent tasks on time and effectively through thorough planning and prioritization. Proficient in Microsoft applications. Attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting and maintenance of necessary records for systems. Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce. A drive for continuous improvement and a good understanding of best practices in the HSE field. Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years working in a similar role; we are open to less. The following qualifications are desirable, but not essential: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent. First Aid Certificate.
