The Role: The Communications and Community Engagement Officer manages the media, communication and community awareness and engagement activities for DonateLife Tasmania and contributes to the national DonateLife Communications and Engagement strategy through responsibilities held in the national DonateLife Communications team. Highly developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and represent the DonateLife Agency on communications matters. Proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads, manage a variety of tasks at the same time and complete work activities within tight time frames. Knowledge and experience working in health-related media and communications area. The Team: DonateLife Tasmania is a part of the national network of DonateLife agencies across Australia, and works within the national program lead by the Organ and Tissue Authority (OTA). DonateLife Tasmania coordinates all organ and tissue donation services across the state with medical and nursing specialists providing professional donation services within hospitals advocating for best practice to increase donation rates. Our services include; care and support of donor families, educating health professionals about donation and raising awareness about organ and tissue donation in the community. Details of appointment: Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, from as soon as possible until 30 June 2026. notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
