We are seeking an experienced Manager to join our Concrete operations, leading teams from seven plants within the Northeast region of Victoria. The Area Manager oversees our plant operations in Wodonga, Benalla & Cobram in VIC as well as our Finley, Jerilderie, Moama, and Mulwala plants in NSW.
Reporting to the State Operations Manager of Concrete, an Area Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring the operational and financial success of the plants, whilst championing safety within the workplace and ensuring a high standard regarding the quality assurance of products are met.
You will also support our operators with a strong focus on achieving safe and quality outcomes to optimise performance and profit.
Your day will involve:
1. Managing day-to-day activities of your allocated site’s staff operated by both employees and contractors on site.
2. Managing day-to-day administration of the Concrete Plants including stock control of raw materials.
3. Reporting on cost estimates and monthly forecasts.
4. Managing operating assets to achieve maximum availability and productivity.
5. Providing superior customer service to our internal and external stakeholders as required.
6. Providing safe and efficient leadership to Plant Managers on a daily basis.
What Are We Looking For?
1. Relevant experience and a good knowledge within the Concrete, Construction or Building Materials industry.
2. Flexibility with working hours and availability to work weekends when required.
3. Strong leadership attributes including good people management skills.
4. Ability to manage, influence and build rapport with stakeholders from a variety of functions to effectively manage projects.
5. Experience with managing P&L statements and understanding finances & costs.
